Mich Goes Walk About
Myself and Amanda headed up to the Cameron Highlands after a quick stop in KL to see Sally off. (Thanks for the Purfume Sal, i feel like a princess now!!) Going from the heat in KL to the coldness in the Cameron Highlands was strange. It was so cold i had to wear socks in bed and have a blanket over my sleeping sheet. With the coldness, the rain and the tea and home made scones, it really did remind me of home! We took a 5 hour trek one day with Yen a longterm guest at the guest house, who takes a walk ever day and relies on donations. So we walked to a Temple, in the rain, and then walked the 5k back to the guesthouse. In the evening, we head to have a Steamboat at the Mayflower. Its a bowl of soup, we had two halves, one Chicken Soup and one Tom Yam (Spicy Thai) and you are given a plate of all sorts to cook it it yourself. Chicken, beef, Crab, Fish balls, prawns, noddles, and Jellyfish! Well i'll try anything once, but i definitely won't be trying jellyfish again. I spat it right out! The next day we took a half day tour, which took us to a tea plantation, a tea factory, an hour walk (where i was caked in mud as decided to slide down a log rather than climbing over it) and a visit to a butterfly garden. Where we saw (apart from Butterflies) Scorpions, Giant Stick insects and a brown frog. We head back to the guesthouse for some tea before i head back to KL
