Thursday 7th July: What a surprise Sorrento turned out to be. The bayside resort is perched high over steep cliffs and the drive in was spectacular.
No sand on these beaches however only dark colored pebbles.
On the Friday 8th July, the group took a jetfoil to the Isle of Capri. After arriving at the port we took the funicular tram up to the village with its expensive shops. On the way down we all were whistling the Neapolitan tune "Funiculi funicular"!
Sorrento musical this evening with famous songs from this region and tarantella folk dancing.
Saturday 9th July: last active day of our Italian tour. Scenic drive along the Amalfi coast to visit the terraced village of Positano.
