Today was a really good day for ride. It was a cold morning start at 46 degrees. The ride turned inland which helped to limit the wind and the sun warmed up the countryside. We rode through foothills which gave us a nice variety of views from all of the ocean views we have been seeing. Morro bay whith its huge rock was stunning. We ate lunch at San Luis Obisimo the passed Pismo beach before arriving at Oceano Campground. There is a forest fire impacting Santa Barbara. The fire has proceeded from the mountains to the beach and jas cut off where 101 joins 1. We will now have ro circumvent the area as the next two campgrounds we planned to stay at have been shutdown and evacuated. The plan is to proceed to to jump to Carpinteria and do some shorter day rides before our layover day. Looks like we will miss two days of eiding.
