No amount of relaxation can prepare you to face the sheer madness of Indian big cities and Delhi is no exception.

We have found a cheap but clean...ish hotel in an area between Old Delhi and New Delhi to make our sightseeing easy, we completely underestimated the role that the heat would play in our stay in the city.

Holy cow! It's so bloody hot! It's been in the 40s every day, but a bit humid and the problem is it's been in the 40s at night too, I mean 39 degrees at midnight are kind of tough.

But I don't want to nag, the point is simply that we had 4 days to spend in Delhi and very little energy, so we did what we do best:
- had many coffees in A/C bars
- had many beers with or without A/C
- had some lavish dinners and some very cheap lunches
- observed the rich and the poor and their way of interacting
- cringed at some embarrassing displays from spoiled tourist
- waited for our flight out, ready to go.

I am now alone here at the Internet cafe', Davide is gone back to Milan and in few hours I will be flying to Bali, hiding if possible among rice fields with my books for few days.

India has been quite a ride, it really puts you to the test no matter how well traveled you are, it can get to you and it probably will. I have only spent one month here, I am far from being an expert on India, but I truly believe that some things you will only ever see them in India and no where else, I am fascinated, I am upset, I am shocked, I am mesmerised, I am grossed out, I am very very curious to know more. So I leave knowing that I will come back but I leave tired and confused for now.
