Hello Everyone,
Thank you all for our blog comments, it's lovely to know that people actually read it as at the moment it's also like a diary for us to look back on!
Without boring you to much and to try and keep it short and sweet; we've done the following since our last update:
Christmas Eve: We hired a quad bike this day as Danny quit the padi course (2 days in a classroom killed him- hate to say I told him so!) Later in the day we did some crazy golf and had a lovely Italian meal - restaurants in Koh Tao are really good and great quality!
Christmas Day - We checked into the five star Hotel next to us as a Christmas prezzie to each other, did some sunbathing(on double bed type loungers), had massages and good chats with our family and friends. We also had a really tasty 5 course meal at a place run by a chef from Brighton which was lovely and uber posh!(sausage wrapped in bacon was tiny though so a little dissapointing and obviously the food was not a patch on our Mum's turkey!)
Boxing day - We left Koh Tao and took the 2 hour ferry to Koh Samui. Once we arrived we got a taxi to our friends villa (the nice couples from Liverpool we met in Phi Phi) we then dumped our bags and hired mopeds to find a hotel close by. Checked into Maryyoo hotel which is 5 mins from their villa and really lovely (ocean and pool views ;) Grabbed tea from a cheap Thai place and headed into Chewang for a night on the town with the other couples, lots of drinks and sillyness and unfortunately a maccy d's to finish the night!
27th Dec - Danny and I did a food shop at tesco for breakfast bits and snacks (spent 20 pounds so got a bit greedy in the end!) Had a chilled day and went for pizza at "Fishermans village" which is a lovely part of Koh Sumui.
28th Dec - the six of us did a fishing trip - although Danny caught a few more than me, I was declared fishing champ of the day by our guide because I caught 2 eels which are grosse! Had an early night and room service!
29th Dec - Watched the Crocodile and snake show which was OK - there are far too many crocs at the farm though and caged monkeys, so we thought it was quite cruel on the whole, however neither of us have ever seen a Cobra picked up with someone's mouth! Boys played football crazy golf and the girls and I had a few beers back at our hotel - ended up at a good restaurant ( a little tipsy) but a good giggle!
30th Dec - Today boys played football golf (- again - 3x in one day). For all you football fans - Danny wants me to tell you that he spotted (and had a photo) with Mikael Silvestre (Photo to be uploaded lol) In the afternoon we did a bit of window shopping in Chewang and also booked our transport from Koh Samui to Penang for the 2nd Jan. We're Not looking forward to the 12 hour journey but we're both excited about getting to Malaysia and thankful that we have the other guys for company.
We're planning to spend tomorrow night (NYE) at the exclusive and brand new "Nikki Beach" which should be fun (- hidden alcohol supplies needed as it's quite pricy we're told). Will update you all once we've arrived in Malaysia on Monday :)
Take Care Everyone.
Chow for Now and Lots of Love,
Meika and Danny
