Hi Guys,

This really does feel so odd writing a blog from England but; in order to have our memory book complete I've got to add our last location....Hong Kong!

On Friday 11th March (the day after our last update) we were meant to be getting our hire car to travel the Gold Coast...unfortunately our good luck ran out this day and we discovered I'd maxed out my Dad's card and could no longer afford food let alone the luxury of a car! :( After this discovery we did however manage to book ourselves into a haunted house come hostel out of our last $100 and spent the day at Brisbane's local, outdoor swimming pool.

Saturday 12th March: We had a long walk through Brisbane city centre, the botanical gardens and the South Bank. As we had quite a bit of time on our hands and had been bailed out by our parents we were able to treat ourselves to a few beers in the local pub! Ended up at gig opposite our hostel full of Purple Turtle type dudes!

Sunday 13th March: Last day in Oz! As the sun was out we headed back down to the pool before catching our flight to Hong Kong :)

Monday 14th March: Had an OK flight but arrived into Hong Kong shattered! Unfortunately we couldn't check into our hotel until 11am so walked round the city like Zombies from 7am; trying to kill some time before we put our heads down! In the evening we did some more exploring, had a couple of beers and got a great Thai meal!

Tuesday 15th March: We caught a train to...(a name I can't remember) and planned to go to Macau - an island off Hong Kong - said to be the Las Vegas of Hong Kong - we stupidly forgot our passports though, so had to give it a miss. Ended up at an animal zoo/theme park for the afternoon.

Wednesday 16th March - Last day in Hong Kong! We organised a taxi to give us a private tour of Hong Kong so we could take in the main attractions. Our favourite place was called "Stanley"; a beautiful bay with great markets and boutique restaurants. Travelled to the airport where our plane was flying out at 11pm!
