Left Montecatini early this morning and travelled to Florence where we spent a few hours sightseeing and I also bought myself an early birthday present - pictures on Flickr at https://www.flickr.com/gp/79298657@N06/58M9vE.

Then travelled on to Rome. Had an adventurous trip on public transport in peak hour transferring from bus to train as well - and then after all that Trevi Fountain was closed for renovations, our Michaelangelo tour was cancelled, and now we hear that the Colosseum might also be having renovations - let's hope we can still see the Vatican tomorrow! We did do a lot of walking around Rome though so got plenty of exercise!
