Venice by day was fantastic! Started off with a Murano glass blowing demonstration - so beautiful but so expensive! Then obligatory gondola ride which was lovely. Bought lots of souvenirs, ate some delicious food, and drank several cocktails including a Mimosa, Spritz and Bellini! Off to Vienna tomorrow - it should be a bit cooler there which will be good as I'm sick of wearing my summer clothes. I've uploaded a few short videos on this site - just click on MAD...

Another long bus trip today from Rome to Venice. Went on a boat trip and quick look around tonight, spending the day in Venice tomorrow including a glass blowing demonstration and obligatory gondola ride! We are staying just outside Venice - I must say there is a very damp/mouldy smell about everything! Busy day today with Vatican and Collosseum visits. Was very hot as well and felt very crowded to me although our tour guide assures us it wasn't! It has been great though going with the group and having a booking so we can avoid the entry queues. I took tons of photos today (except Sistine chapel because we weren't allowed to in there). Bus wifi has been offline since Barcelona which means waiting until we get to the hotel each night for internet access - and last night in Cannes was not the best.
