Started the day with a trip to nearby Volendam, a very pretty seaside village, where we got to see windmills, cheese making and clog making. Then back to Amsterdam for a visit to a diamond centre (no free samples unfortunately) then more sightseeing around the town. I actually found it to be a bit dirty, so I don't think I'd be in a rush to come back, but I am glad I've seen it. Happy 50th birthday to me! Started the day with a Rhine Cruise - unfortunately it was very foggy but still a relaxing way to spend the morning. Then travelled to Amsterdam - quick look around the red light district this afternoon, and more sightseeing tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last official day of our tour - about half the group is leaving us in Amsterdam, the rest of us drive to Calais via Belgium then back over the ferry to London.
