Our European tour has begun! We are currently on our Contiki bus heading for the English Channel where we will board a ferry bound for France. First stop - Paris! We are very excited, however, our tour guide, Penny, has scared us a little too. She gave us a 45 minute speech warning us of everything from missing the bus to pickpocketing and from gypsies to the mafia! Her vision of Italy is very different to mine!
Our bus has 1 person from New Zealand and the other 49 are from Oz. Very multicultural! The people we have met so far seem nice enough. I'm not sure if I told you before we left, but Contiki has an age limit of 35. I think most people are out to get drunk and hook up with stangers. I feel old!

Deebs Don't miss the sights. You can party any old time but possible only see these European sights once. Get some natural highs. I just received your text from the Eiffel Tower. You can not get much higher than that, physically or emotionally. Soak it up. The feeling will last a life time. Absorb ! Absorb ! Enjoy! Enjoy.
Grando You will have lots to see and talk about -take whatever precautions you have to but don't get caught up in that too much. Remember, glass half full! Keep taking the photos and commenting in your experiences. Mum feels like she is almost there with you so it is a cheap holiday for me. Off to Grandads tomorrow, leaving mum at home - he is going as well as can be expected. Take care - grando.
