Here we are at Stonehenge - an ancient stone circle in south-west England. It was built between 3000 BC and 1600 BC! They are not sure why it was built, whether it be for science or religion. It is aligned with the sunrise on the longest day of the year, so either way, someone knew what they were doing! Fact: The large vertical stones needed 200 men to lift them!
This morning we visited Windsor Castle. The queen calls this her home and Buckingham Palace her workplace. AMAZING workmanship Mum! I spent most of my time looking up at the ceiling! The rooms had velvet wallpaper and were full of expensive artworks, chandeliers and decor. St George's Chapel was the most remarkable. It is the burial site of all past kings and queens. We weren't allowed to take photos there :(
Next stop: Bath. Lots of time to blog today as there has been time to kill on the coach.

Deebs You look nice and warm but dad said you look the opposite. Stonehenge is not artistically pleasing but it does show people were extremely clever and hard working way back then and they did not have a computer to help them little on a crane. It is a great way to learn about history and how small our part is in life. Great pic.
Brookie It always seems to be cold, windy and overcast at Stone Henge :) Hope you are having a great time - certainly looks cold!
Kaylene You are certainly fitting a lot in during your stay in England. I think you are very clever putting this all together, I am learning such a lot.
