This morning Callan and Nick went fishing. Just after they left it started pouring rain - again! This made for quite an uneventful morning. Lots of water and no fish. In the afternoon the weather had cleared so we walked the boardwalk from Cannonvale to Airlie Beach. We enjoyed looking at all the boats in the marina and imagining what it would be like if they were ours.

This morning we headed into the foreshore of Airlie Beach to the markets. We saw an amazing sand sculpture of a dragon complete with fire coming out of its nose. After the market we had a bit of a walk around the shops down the street. The day started off wet again, so after a slow start we decided we should take a day trip to Hideaway Bay. We were surprised and delighted to see the skies clear the further we went, and we spent most of the day at Hideaway Bay in beautiful sunshine. Its wet again! In between the showers we have had a hit of tennis and checked out the playground. After lunch we had to fight the cabin fever and decided to go for a drive. We checked out Cedar Creek Falls and true to the form of the tour Nick and Sal decided that they should have a swim - lets say it was a little on the cold side. Todays adventure saw us climb aboard an oversized rubber dinghy with more horsepower than should be allowed on a boat and scoot across the sea to swim and snorkel around the Whitsunday Islands. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too kind and the boat driver thought it best to refer to it as the "Wet-Sunday" Islands.
