The day started off wet again, so after a slow start we decided we should take a day trip to Hideaway Bay. We were surprised and delighted to see the skies clear the further we went, and we spent most of the day at Hideaway Bay in beautiful sunshine.

The beach was stunningly beautiful with blue water typical of the Whitsunday's and so many shells on the sand we spent ages fossicking through them to see what we could find.

Cal found a large shell with a crab in it and we found lots of other hermit crabs. There was also a dead starfish on the sand.

We stopped for lunch at a resort restaurant on the beach and ate with a welcome visitor watching us closely - a kookaburra.

After lunch a swim in the beach, before heading back to the caravan park for a swim in the pool.
