yes iv eventually done it !!!!!.
Today i have had my 1st skydive from 12.000 feet, ok we booked it yesterday after me n a few lads fancied giving it a go and with the weather looking loads better, we rang Taupo skydive and got the green light to do it 2pm the following day, so we set off from Rotorua south about 80 km and the weather was amazing not a cloud in sight (perfecto), we arrived at our hostel in Taupo and rang the skydive team who would come and collect us in a limo, travel in style im loving it !!!, so off we go to some little airfield near the lake, arrived to find the team to be 100% quality dudes and well mad lol, we watched a vid of the earlyer jump and then it we had to choose our package, we decided on a 12.000f 45 second free-fall with a dvd to top it off, we then got briefed on the body postions we had to do during the free-fall, so off we went to get rigged up, from there we where split up because the aircraft can only carry 4 peops with the instructors strung on the back of them, so 2 of our team goes for it, 1 of the guys was shaking like a leaf and making us all a bit fruity, so up and away they go and 10-15 mins later they land with big white eyes and smiles (good lads), right our turn and we are piled into a pink plane (no lies bright pink) and ready for take-off, with us buying the dvd the guy has it rolling from start to finish and records everything (well worth it), he tells us to watch his watch which tells altitude and looking out the window from 2.000 feet it seems ages to get to 12.000, i was told to watch for the green light to flash indicating the jump, then there it goes blinking away and im 1st to go, the guy opens the door and steps outside the plane bearing in mind im starpped facing the world, holds me there for 5 secs and just goes for it, the feeling from then on is the best ever free-falling 44 secs and reaching 132 mph, then the guy opens the chute and we get to see quality views over Taupo bay and the snow-topped mountains, it takes about 5 mins to reach the ground and off we go to see the vids of us all, the guy who is attached has our own dvd so its just you they record, it cost in total $360 and i just wanted to go back up and do it all again, anyone thinking about doing it go for it !!!!!, its the best thing iv done for adrenalin ever, and gonna try it in Aus, still totally buzzing now lol.
