I have been very impressed with Minnesota and North Dakota. As we drive through the towns in their states, everything is so well manicured, clean and inviting. No cars on blocks, and no run down areas, you can really tell the people of these states take pride in their surroundings.
I am also sure that no corn is grown in any other country but the US. We have driven through the last 4 states, and they are as flat as can be. You can stand and see for miles and miles. and each and every mile is filled with corn for as far as the eye can see. Minnesota and North Dakota have had the most picture perfect farms though. They truly look like something out of an art gallery, they are so beautiful with their red barns sitting on the hill surrounded by their corn fields.
We are stopped tonight in Jamestown ND. Home of the largest Buffalo in the world (not real) and the proud hometown of the buffalo museum where you could buy "all thing buffalo" in the gift store. They also had an old time frontier town that was real cute. They were giving stage coach rides but they quit about 15 minutes before we got there. Just our luck, and Larry said he would have ridden too. Oh well, maybe in the next frontier town we visit he will get his chance.
The Lord has blessed us with perfect weather so far, and wonderful camping spots within community parks and recreation areas. We are having our first taste of cool weather tonight, actually had to wear a sweater around the campground as we walked the dogs. I think the low here tonight is supposed to be somewhere around 54 degrees. Brrrrr after 90 degree weather just 2 days ago in the Dells.
