Today we have decided to have an easier day as we have been flat out for days now. So we got up and headed into Lithgow to check out the 'Lithgow Blast Furnace' ruins. It is the building of the one of the first blast furnaces in Australia, opened in 1907. It produced steel and iron. The ruins were amazing, so statuesque and told a story by themselves. Much anticipation for today!!!! We are off to Katoomba to go to "Scenic World" to get a good look at the 'Three Sisters'. Thought would be a hour drive as only 34km, well it took 45 mins to an hour!!! Bloody hilly and windy roads ey. Had a great night sleep except for Boo needing to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, saw some kangaroo's on our walk to the toilet though. Also the caravan on a slight lean so that you feel a bit head first, but not too bad. Electric blankets and heater did there work well. Arrived at Lithgow, a town in the Blue Mountains, around 1pm which was great as we were only on the road for about 3 hours. We went to our camp site at Lake Lyall, about 10 mins out of Lithgow. This camp site is cheap at $20/night for a powered site and we were situated with lake views. Quick blog today to say not as home sick as the last few days. Have had the chance to catch up with a few mates on the phone and was great to hear all your voices. Pretty funny to think home sick and not even two weeks yet, but if you think about it, that is when the holiday starts to wind down and you are looking forward to getting home!!!
