The day after the night before, with the temperature around 90 - 100F in a tent with no shade, this was going to be a survival day.
I was feeling better than Liz who never came out of the tent until night. I spent the day exploring the festival taking a zillion pictures and chating with people.
For the early evening I went round to Jeronimos camp and was joined by the budda people. They had turned up with nothing, and were sleeping under a tarp that was gifted on the ground.
Liz managed to get out of the tent just before night fall but was still delicate. After a lenghty recuperation period we went to have an explore.
We found ourselves in a reality challenged place called Spankies that lived up to it's name. This place gave out free wine, so was a hit with Liz. For me it was as far removed from an Europe festival as you can get, with brilliant people watching.
Although you can get free food and alcohol it is very difficult to find water (essential in the dessert), so after a short night we headed back to the tent to get some.
Decision time, do we head off get worse for wear and pay the penalty the next day in the heat or be fresh for the party tomorrow (it is a long festival). We chose to stay in the tent.
