Got up at 6.30am. On the bus and off to Pompeii. Saw Monte Cassino on the way through, took a picture. Had lunch once we got there, had Gnocchi. Had guided tour from Steffano, he was great and the place was great to see. They lived well and had running water in lead pipes. Bus free day. Woke up today quite flat, both were tired and been on the go for a while. Seeing heaps but its the heat and crowds that seems to wearing us out. In saying that we still appreciate seeing the sites that we have both dreamt about seeing. Travelled from Florence (Firenze) today. The country side was fill off crops but mainly sunflowers. Drove to Orvieto for lunch, had time for another ABC moment in the local duomo but it was breath taking, very well decorated.
