We both slept very well and didn't want to get up!! We had a lovely breakfast, was very healthy so just what we needed! We got sorted and went out for a drive with Julie and Tony to see the main areas and interesting parts of Wellington. The weather was still wet and miserable. We went around the parliamentary area of town, including the honeycomb parliament building, the libraries and the different court buildings, all of which are in close proximity to each other. We went to a lovely church which was made purely from wood. It was lovely inside but is no longer used regularly and only for the odd marriage or christening. We drove past the studios where Lord of the Rings was made and the one for Avator! We had to be at the ferry dock for 12pm so we set off. There was lots of waiting around but we finally got on board and got a comfy seat, considering there were so few of them! The ferry wasn't too bad and the views were beautiful as we neared the south island. We arrived in Picton late but to nicer weather! We drove for 2hours down to Nelson where we spent the night. We had a lovely drive through the mountains and i'm sure Mark thinks he is practicing for becoming a rally driver!! hmmm! We couldn't find a campsite at first and decided to follow another camper similar to ours, but after following for a while we decided to give up and headed back to town where we stumbled across one! The site was on the beach front and we parked next to another spaceship, although the astronauts were never around to say hi!
