Hey all, been here in Cairns for 3 days now. Clever me though- came in the wet season. I'm in the middle of a monsoon! Thing is, its still like 25/30 degrees - so its just so nice lying by the pool having a drink in the rain. I havent done much yet. Trying to get myself organised, got my bus ticket and opened a bank account. Soon as im sorted i will get activities done and update you as i go along. I was freaked out first day- there's so many bugs here just scurrying along the floor. But Ive almost got used to them now. Almost. Im sharing my hostel room with boys, 2 18 yr old boys and 2 irish boys- and one of them's from Donegal! In actual fact I havent met any girls here. Missing female company! Anyway talk soon x
