Be sure to read my 12.08.07 Lisbon blog post!Okay, I have not been to Rome yet, but I feel like I have. All these Roman ruins everywhere. It is amazing to see first hand how far the empire stretched. Merida is a Unesco world heritage city which means on my little map it has a blue box around it. I try and make a point to visit all of them along the way as they never disappoint. Lots of cool sights and always a cool city.So have you every been so focused on accomplishing something that even though your bladder is full you want to finish what you are doing first, but inevitably you get frustrated and so rushed that you screw up or don't get it done and then have to run to the bathroom frantically.Well I know we have all done this before.I have of course learned a little bit of patience and have luckily avoided this scenario.Well, not entirely just with a different thing.I always seem to rush around trying to get something done thinking I will eat after I am done.Well guess what happens, I get to that point where you stomach is growling and you get a little irritable because you just need to eat.Then the worst thing happens, you have to walk around and try and find a reasonably priced dinner on an empty stomach.Let me tell you it is even worse than going to the grocery store hungry!Frustration on not finding a menu that you understand or can afford on an empty stomach is double.So I have decided to make the bathroom and dinner a priority over anything else I want to get done.Pretty bad that you have to make such basic things a priority, but I think everyone knows what I am talking about!Now you can smile =)So don't worry kids I am not leaving Portugal just yet.Merida was so close to my other destinations I did not want to leave it out.Tomorrow I am back in to Portugal with a southerly course to the coast.Of course I will go to the end of the world or what people thought was the end of the world when they still thought the world was flat. Then over to Seville, Cordoba, and Granada!Stay tuned!
