Here it is the 2nd post today!!!

If this is winter in Melbourne then it will do for us, there has not been a cloud in the sky today. I think it has been around 20 degrees.

We loaned Jill's car for the day and took a drive down the coast along the Mornington Peninsula to a little place called Sorrento (not Harpers favourite restaurant) it's about a 1 1/2 hour drive from Melbourne and such a beautiful town right on the beach. The sun was shining and the sea crystal clear, we sat right on the sand and had Fish and Chips for lunch. They were cooked fresh in front of us a nice piece of Whiting with chunky chips absolutely fantastic.

All the beaches around here are marvellous especially today as the weather was amazing. From here it was a short hop to Portsea and London Bridge Beach to look at the rock formations here which were cool. One had a big archway through to the sea and the surfers were out as well.

On the way back we took the coast road instead of the highway and passed through several towns with glorious beaches including Mornington where we stopped to walk on the beach and Fishermans Bay to catch the reat of the sun.

Unfortunately we had to head back we would have been happy for the day to go on forever today but we have an early start in the morning to the Great Ocean Road which we are looking forward to so much and if the weather is half as good as today it will be tremendous.
