We both had a really good night sleep and did not wake up till gone 9am this morning so were a little late setting off. We took the car and headed out of town on Adelaide Road and headed for the scenic coastal route around Wellington. It's a 30km drive that hugs the coast and passes through several bays and small towns along the way and drops you right back in the City Centre. It is a lovely drive on narrowish roads and the views and beaches are pretty stunning with coastal walks to do.

Once back in the city we had lunch and then headed down the hill to take a ride on the cable car that they have here. It's only a short ride and has stops at the University and the Botanical Gardens, this is where we got off and took a walk around the gardens they are all free and are very pretty. The reason most people take the cable car is for the views down the hill and over the city which are spectacular especially on a day like today it was so hot and not one cloud in the sky.

Nearly had Lebanese for a 3rd night but found a mall selling really cheap curry so decided on that option instead!!!!!

Won't be up late as we leave at 6:30am to get the ferry across to the South Island.
