An early start had Andrew, Mandy and the Shanks mothership on our way to Abu Dhabi via Frankfurt for a 10 day visit. The first flight was non eventful with breakfast consisting of a muffin and a cuppa, we got bussed from our parking spot at Frankfurt where after wandering around and not really finding much we decided the best course of action was to find a lounge and relax for the couple of hours we had to kill. It was soon time to board and again after a long bus journey we were on board, after unfortunately, this time having to walk past the posh seats! The flight was less than 6 hours and again was straight forward, good meal, plenty of drinks service and comfy enough seats.

The longest part of the arrival process was queuing to get out of the terminal and soon enough we were on our way with our family chauffeur service to our digs for the trip, Jen and Neil's apartment. After the obligatory tour we settled down to decide which fast food delivery service we would get, yes fast food gets delivered! We opted for Hardees as we always like to try a fast food chain that we haven’t had before. It was really good and was demolished pretty quickly then it was soon time to call it a night after catching up with all Jen and Neil’s news.
