We booked into Aria Resort and Casino which has only opened in the last 12 months. The rooms are fantastic, we got a strip view room on the 19th floor. We just spent day eight lazing around. The girls spent a lot of time at the factory outlets and got some great bargains. Day nine we headed to Laughlin and then Hoover Dam. Laughlin had some riverfest on where there were thousands of people floating down the river on many different inflatable flotation devices. It was that crowded it wasn't even worth looking around. Heading down to get breakfast we saw a bit of a crowd outside so thought we would have a bit of a nosey. The Hot August Nights Car Show was having a street viewing, at least four blocks of downtown Reno shut to normal traffic packed both sides with hot rods, muscle cars, classics and other restored four wheeled contraptions.
