Headed back out to Colin and Jacquies to pick up our car. Jacquie made us a great Irish breakfast including black pudding. We then took a drive out to Kilcotty then in to Blackwater and the beach at Curracloe. This is where Saving Private Ryan beach landings were filmed. It is hard to get used to the time it takes to get short distances over here due to the roads. Unless you are on the major highways the roads can be narrow, full of curves, small villages and farm machinery. The video attached gives a small example of how different it is from Australia. Down at the beach at Blackwater there is a house that is being pushed back into the ocean with erosion. Interesting to see. We headed back to Wexford and strolled Down the Main Street looking for a feed. Picked Simon Lambert and Sons Pub as it has its own microbrewery downstairs - Yellowbelly. Tried their lager and was impressed. It's amazing how many bars are around Wexford and how close they are together. I will try to take photos of as many as I can to give you an idea of the variety. I don't think I would ever get to them all ( it would be a huge effort). Had a relatively quiet afternoon. Colin and Jacquie joined us in town for a few beers and to listen to some local music at "The Sky and Ground Pub". Colin is very good with the guitar and singing and sometimes joins in with the musos. As well as the normal guitar and banjo, there was a young girl on violin and a young bloke on the tin whistle, both were great. The local brew Yellowbelly was on tap as well. A great night was had
