2017 A'VAN NATIONAL AGM Friday 28th - Tuesday 9th May, 2017We finally arrived in Denmark to set up and ready ourselves for the fun and games of an A'Van gathering. This includes catching up with old friends from around Australia, and making new friends.There is, of course, a lot of chatting to be done; all subjects are covered. 26th April This morning we had a 397km drive to Bremer Bay. We left the highway for this little spot as it was highly recommended to us. So about a 66km detour (as if we are not doing enough kms already!We had morning tea at Balladonia and this was a very busy spot. There was a caravan park here, roadhouse and, of course, a fuel stop. Monday 24th April On the road again for our 308 km drive to Esperance for two nights. We are still on the Eyre Highway of course, so very easy driving. We had morning tea at Norseman and then we headed onto the Coolgardie/Esperance Highway. Saturday 22nd - Monday 24th April An early start today for a short drive (290km) to Fraser Range Station. We are now on the 90 mile straight, the longest straight stretch of road in Australia, 150kms of it. And sure enough it is very, very straight and long. The roads here are excellent and it is very easy driving. Unlike far north Queensland, there are hardly any road trains and very little traffic.
