Sunday 16th April, 2017We had arranged to catch up with Dan & Trish again today, and we all enjoyed a great day out at Trentham Winery, once again on the Murray River. There were ski boat races on in Mildura over Easter, so the Winery was a great spot to watch the races on the river. Saturday 15th April, 2017We spent a very pleasant day at the Botanical Gardens in Mildura. We had a tractor ride around the gardens with an excellent commentary by a very knowledgeable guide and driver. In these gardens there is a rotunda which has the most amazing ceiling. Apparently a local lady had been collecting seed pods for many years, and had some 4,000 of them. She offered to make the ceiling of the rotunda from these seed pods and it is just stunnin...

Thursday 13th April, 2017. We had an early start to Mildura across the Hay plain. We enjoyed morning tea at Hay and lunch at a rest stop. Kev had trouble with his credit card at Hay, so our first stop in Mildura was the Commonwealth Bank. We drove into the busiest, largest shopping complex in Mildura on the Thursday before Easter! Wednesday 12th April, 2017 We had our next overnight stop at Darlington Point, which was a very pretty little stop situated on the Murrumbidgee River. After a walk around the park and river, we enjoyed a BBQ dinner, campfire and then bed, ready for our big adventure. We didn't get much sleep, however, as the trucks rumbled by all night!

CANBERRA - Friday 7th April, 2017 Once again we commenced our pack up for our long trek across the Nullarbor. This entailed car and van service, and medical checks for us as well. Went to pick up the Van from Bomaderry A'Van and found it full of water. Now we had had a lot of rain, but this was ridiculous!
