Well susan and Barry were here with our goodies at 8:30 am....nice to see what we had here. Played bridge with mom, bev and Cathy at 10:30....then Fred and I went to pizza place and he had a sub and I had the very best salad....only could eat half....then off to Walmart for groceries...forgot how great that is...so much variety and cheap! Then mom came for dinner...we went to new restaurant at our lodge and it was great....great band...going to have band every Fr...

Due to international time line

Very long day....got up at 5:30am and returned rental car....then waited 30 minutes till restaurant opened and had breakfast....off to Oahu...they would not let us check bags all the way....so only to honolulu....good thing we had 3 hours wait at honolulu airport before boarding plane to Chicago....getting sick of travel now, no problems thru customs...hawaii always easy....in Chicago our next plane to ottawa left from same terminal so just an hour or two to wait...

Well we got up and listened to the 7am news, prepared to leave the island a day ahead.....but looks like hurricane is not developing fast and will move north of the islands! Yeah! However it will bring high heat and humidity...time to get out of here! After driving for 3 days in very challenging conditions we are leaving the car in the garage today! I did our weeks wash, went down to look at beach and cabana, did my laps in pool, had a bit of lunch and generally ...

Well another exciting day! We got up early and downed a coffee and a piece of toast before heading to Paia...a small town that specialises in breakfasts and packed lunches for those brave enough to make the journey to Hana. Well we had a lovely breakfast and skipped the packed lunch hoping Hana would have some civilisation! The journey is the destination for this trip. It is 42 miles long with 56 one lane bridges and 617 hairpin turns. Very tropical, lots of nice...
