Lynda and Fred Travels
We slept in today! Yeah! Had breakfast upstairs at 9:00am followed by a walk around the deck and a view of giant guitar and grand piano at warf from top deck. We then went to a show featuring Cape Breton music which was a fiddler, a piano player and a Gaelic singer, dancer, drummer and flute player. We participated in a line dance. Great music and good fun! I think it is called a Caelic!!! We then walked the streets of Sydney, Nova Scotia...a very small town but quaint and beautiful...I bought a pair of shoes in a famous shoe shop...other than that only about 4 restaurants, one nice furniture shop, a couple of banks, lots of churches...and that says it all... So funny....all shops on pier open for ships...singers come out when big boats come to town...really helps the retail trade...especially for little towns such as Sydney! We returned to room for a drink and sit on the balcony....then went to a Halifax talk from a Highlander with a bagpipe! Very funny and interesting! Had a roast turkey dinner and then to a comedy show which was excellent! Rosy O'Donald....She picked on me cause of my laugh! We then sat thru part of a show by Indonesian staff...it was terrible! So sad they have to do it!
