Lynda and Fred Travels
Fred and I had enough of vox boxes....we wanted to do our own tour....so.... We had the city plan and walked from 1 - 15....seeing the leaning tower of Wertheim, the old city gate, the old Jewish quarter, the smallest house which was built in a lane and very narrow at bottom and wider at top, town hall, church built in 1383 with a peep hole to see tombs of royal family....and then up hill to see the spectacular Werthium castle built in 1100 for the prince of the land...burnt down 350 years ago....and then the prince moved into the town hall...gave that to town 30 years ago....castles became less famous in recent years as owners wanted big houses with big windows and gardens...modern....so they gave castle to city and bought new modern homes....this city specialises in glass blowing so of course we bought some souvenirs from here! The city was known for glass blowing and we bought two lovely pieces and had them shipped home. I also bought a lovely top. Afternoon in sun deck and then dinner and local entertainment.....skipped lunch and Fred and I had a swim/spa while rest of ship ate....privacy at last Local entertainment was fantastic...danced all night! We cruise overnight and arrive in Rhine river in am so will have the top balcony available again!

R&J You do realise that we all have to sit down all day to read & keep up with your adventures. ?! Exhausted ! Bike ride sounded "strenuous" - unless of course you are a Friday Biker ..., Really ? Starting to look really 'prosperous' -- ouch !
