We arrived in kitzingen in morning and I chose to cycle around town while Fred chose to sun himself on deck. I cycled across river and down town to as far as you could go...saw sign for Heidelberg for 27km and was tempted but didn't....did however venture int an Aldis to see what it was like in its native country....kept a brochure for Robbie! I bought a XL bag to fill and send some stuff home from Amsterdam! The streets are beautiful...all tree lined and all apartments have flower boxes full of colour....then I went on other side of river and found shops...quaint but did not spend any money!!! Lunch on boat and then venture by bus into Rothenburg. Pl We started at market square and walked to city hall, st Jacobs church, castle gate and of course the most world wide famous Christmas museum and store. Fred and I walked the back of the wall which surrounded the city and then walked along upper deck of wall...very interesting...ended tour with real beer in market square.... Evening had glass blowing demo but we missed this....too much for the day!
