Bamburg is located on entrance of Main-Danube canal and is so beautiful it was designated the world heritage sight in 1983. We loved Bamburg! It had a lot of water running through old buildings....and we all got a free beer...but it was a smokey beer - rauchbier -and tasted horrible so I went shopping and Fred drank the beer! We had a lecture about the European Union in the lounge in the afternoon.....very interesting....found out that checklavaskia joined today! Also found out that the union started in 1950... I only remember when they went with euro dollar in 1990's....so it is successful for tourists who want one currency and no visa issues but not so successful otherwise! Expect Greece to fail, go out on its own once again, succeed again and possibly join again! Peter entertained us with country music after dinner! Lovely day!
