Survived 3 days at BASE hostel in St Kilda at first when I arrived I thought oh no what have a done surrounded by a bar full of 20 year olds with the girls dressed up the the nines with the addition of rope and stuff around there ankles and wrists! Note to self need to by some 'travelling accessories' to fit in the hostels!!

Suprisingly it only took me a short while to make some friends, drunk goon (the Australian backpackers cheep wine if u can call it that basically 4l box wine for $10 seemed a great idea at the time but not so good the next day!!

Crazy Melbourne: Ally was right about the insane changes in weather... When from 40 degrees with the hotest wind you have ever felt to overcast raining and 20 degrees (see photo above) to a nice warm evening!! Totally insane...

Cheeky bargain: some Yorkshire boys who had no money won a great ocean road ticket in the quiz but needed money more so u offered them $20 so they could get dinner and they were happy with that Which was awsome as tickets sold for $120 in the hostel....

Top evening entertainment on Wednesdays: victoria night food Market, cheep great food and nice sociable atmosphere with new room friends plus pints of sangrea which were great!
