Written a little in retro spect as since Rachel arrived in Melbourne and there is always someone elce to talk to blog writting has taken a back burner but hear I am back again!!!
So highlights:
Spent the week living on Paul's sofa which was really quite comfy with sheets and douvet etc. Just packing up your bed and clothes every day was a bit of a mission! On friday I spent the day getting quotes for my kite surfing kit was a trade between nice English guy offering $2000 for new kite, board and harness but no wetsuit or kite republic offered me $1800 for second hand kit with wetsuit and club membership involving a free ride day on Sunday and a social network to boot! So Melissa and her sails technique won out and I brought the second had kit in the picture!
Kite: 11m Nash Charger
Board: 143 North gonzalles
Went on the ride day on Sunday to inverlock! 3 hour journee there for 160km as highway flooded from
Friday nights rain storm. The day was amazing! Struggled a little in the morning when kite went down and I could not co-ordinate re launch without my board drifing miles down the coast so had a long walk back for lunch...... After a hotdog on the BBQ I went back out after lunch with confidence was really rocking going 200m strips left and right but then as tide going out seamed to loose it as I got tired so at 7pm I called it a day!!! Such a great day and met lots of new friends to ride with in St kilda did not get home till 11pm
So really shattered but well worth it.... Rachel arrives tomorrow to stay for a while but will promise to keep up with my blogging..... Love and kisses to all following and mum thanks for your e-mail will write back soon. I miss u too xxx
