Ok so Disaster/Blessing in disguise happened yesterday...... The police showed up at the lovely flat we were renting in South Melbourne informing us that our flat mate Scott Feoria was to be evicted as had not being paying any for a long while and that he was actually a squatter now!! Gave the polie all the details we could about him an agreed to move out the next day.... Confronted Scott when he got home to which he lied saying it was a driving offence he did not pay and refused to return any Money to us!!!
From this disaster arose the plan to hire a camper (as cheeper than 2 people in a hostel) and take a trip down the great ocean road.. So we picked up MARS our camper and headed down the the ocean road. Stopped in Torque, Jan Juc, Bells beach, Anglesea, Lorne and Apollo Bay to pick up the all important beers and head down to Blanket Bay campsite in the Great Otway National Park after a little off load trip trying to find a footpath which we thought was a road!! Oops....
Arrived late and cooked up our first treat over the open BBQ style fire as could not get the gas cooker to work, we made spagette bolignase with parmasan... (ok bolignase might have been leftovers from the flat but still a good effort I think...) Even Rachael was impressed sort off!! This was followed by chocolate wishing we had the ingrediance for smoors..... But all in all a great first attempt for cooking in the bush.
First night sleeping in MARS not as comfortable as hopped but warm non the less.... Think we have a ghost as radio turned it's self on at 2am to blurt out surround sound music which was very strange!!

neil arnott Glad to hear you are safe and the camper sounds like a great idea for seeing as much as possible of the country - shame about the falty but at least you were OK - even if a few dollars short.Any more sailing?
Sarah churchill Ooohhh a ghost in the camper van?! Sounds like you are having a good adventure ! Also very pleased to hear that there have been no usual "Lucy accidents " yet! Speak Soon. Take care xxx
