Good morning, It's Sunday morning here and we had a nice lie in. As we were making breakfast we heard about the earthquake in Chile and the possible Tsunami's in/around the Pacific basin...including New Zealand. I wanted to let you know we're fine and quite far from the coast. In fact, the sea is over an hours drive away and on the other side on some very big hills/small mountains. Another day in the vineyard spent putting on the nets. We were up & out a little after 8a this morning in an effort to beat the heat. (I think it's been near 90 the last 2 days.). After 4.5 hours or so, we're nearly there. However, while doing this we're seeting quite a few birds getting in & underneath. In the afternoon, we went to help one of Maggie's friends. We arrived in Masterton, in the Waipara region in the very Southern bit of the North Island, last Thursday. A bit later than expected due to me reading the bus schedule incorrectly, (actually it was really poorly written). Oh well, it all worked out. Anyway, we're now w/Maggie. It's our second Helpx stay and much more of what we were hoping for in terms of work. Even better, Maggie is really nice and has made us feel very much at home and very welcome. Not...
