Hi!
On Tuesday we caught a bus to Bariloche (2 hours from El Bolson). The route is supposed to be beautiful, as it goes through the Andes. However, as it was raining we were unable to see that much! The rain was something that we got used to though, as it was chucking it down for two consecutive days! During this time we sampled some of the World's best chocolates at Mamuschka and Fenoglio, went to various cafes and bars, including Blest Microcerveceria, which was another excellent brewery. Come Thursday the rain had stopped and the sun was shining, which allowed us to see the true beauty of Bariloche. The city is surrounded by mountains and there's a large lake. We were told that the ski resort (Catedral) had opened early so we went up, but unfortunately it hadn't. On Friday we went to Lago Llao Llao, where we planned to do some walking, but were told it wasn't possible, which was a bit annoying! Like any loyal footy fan travelling I dragged myself out of bed early on Sat morning to watch England's first World Cup match. Obviously it was great that we won, but Argentina's match against Ivory Coast was much more exciting!
