Place: Magnetic Island to Cairns

Weather: Sunny until it rained closer to cairns

The bus wasn't picking us up until 11:45 so we had a while to wait in the morning. We decided to spend the majority of our time by the pool getting a bit of sun. I stayed there with my feet dangling in the water until Aqua aerobics started (or as Lauren calls it, the wave machine). So I moved so I didn't get wet.

We got the local bus down to the ferry terminal and had about 5 minutes before the ferry left. Since we wanted some lunch Laura ran over the car park to the shop whilst I waited with the bags. I panicked a bit when the ferry blew its horn thing though and decided that if Laura saw that I was gone with the bags she would run. My plan worked well J but we literally just got on before we left.

Off the ferry and onto the bus. The bus they wouldn't reverse! So the guys all had to get out and push us out of the car park. I was pretty impressed actually because we moved quite quickly. Our first stop was for lunch where Laura and I made our sandwiches and sat in McDonalds to use the internet. This is when I found out about the situation between Mum and Neil being serious and actually started to cry because I wasn't there to give mum a hug.

Well the rest of the journey was pretty boring since I didn't have my ipod to listen to anymore but I borrowed Laura's earphones for a little while and listened to my laptop which is now my giant mp3 player. When we got close to Cairns it actually started raining! I was a bit gutted because this was meant to be where it was finally hot again and apparently they haven't had rain in weeks. Trust me to get there when it starts again.

The bus group were meeting at a place called the Woolshed for dinner which is where all the backpackers go for cheap food. It turned out we got a free meal there every night anyway with our hostel so it worked out really well. Everyone was there from the bus and we sat with them for a little while but decided to head in on our last shuttle back to the hostel because we were getting up super early the next day for our sky dive wooo!!!
