Early ish start this morning to Otway tree top walk. Got there for about 10. Unfortunately the next free spaces on the zip were at 1pm so we did the walk and meandered for a couple of hours before having lunch. Would highly recommend the food. The walk was amazing over the forest floor and a spiral staircase up to the tops to look out. On our zip tour we were told that most of the Mountain Ash were only 40 years old and only a couple are over 80. They are absolutely huge. I think Andy said that if you measure the circumference of the tree 1.5cm = 1 year. I think the zip tour was 7 zips and 2 swing bridges. Lasted for 2.5 hrs. It was a long but enjoyable day.
We would've headed to Portland but as we were longer than expected at Otway Fly we only made it to Port Fairy (pronounced Ferry) we have a 7 hr drive tomorrow to Adelaide. Hopefully I'll get to drive some of it as mum really doesn't trust dads driving. He gets very close and today Andy took his glasses off so he couldn't see and I was in the front seat! Oh dear dads just gone to the men's to prepare for bed and the heavens have opened. More swearing and cursing when he gets back.
Staying at a Big 4 campsite. Same price as last night but tons better. Free showers, heated indoor pool, using that tomorrow morning if I can be arsed to get up at 7am. Free wifi. Unfortunately only 2 hrs but trying to make it last. Lets see what tomorrow brings as I'm knackered.
