Yesterday I headed out to the Great Wall of China. We started our hike in an area called JinShanLing and we hiked all the way along to the area known as Simatai. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. It was so hot which made it worse aswell. Some parts were like rock climbing. The parts of the wall which had been restored were better but it was so steep. With the unrestored parts you had to watch your footing the whole time. It was really tough and the 10km's took 4hours! Was exhausted by the end. It was completely worth it though, the views were incredible and the wall is just amazing. I think after a good night's sleep I can fully appreciate it. In some ways the photos don't do justice to how hard it was!!
I leave Beijing on Sunday and start a 2week tour through China finishing in Hong Kong. I don't think I'll have any access to the internet during this time so that will be why I'm not replying to any emails or messages. I will be back on here with photos and stories at the start of June though
