After the last few days in Auckland I boarded my flight to Fiji. My first week in Fiji was spent doing the Feejee Experience bus. I spent 4 days going around the mainland, Vita Levu, seeing different things on the way. We did some village visits and also a school visit; some cultural things so you got to see the 'real' Fiji, not just the beaches. After leaving Wellington I made my way back up the North Island. My first stop was in Taupo where I spent the afternoon in the doctors after being bitten by a spider! This whole time I had been told there were no dangerous spiders in New Zealand, but it turns out one of Australia's dangerous ones has made its way over the seas to New Zealand, and decided to bite me! After leaving Queenstown I headed down South, where it then got cold :-( The first stop was Dunedin, home to the World's steepest street, and also Cadbury's World! Did a tour around here which wasn't especially exciting, but all the free chocolate definitely made up for it! The next stop was then Invercargill. After leaving Wellington I got the ferry across the Cook Straight waters which separate the two islands to the South Island. My first stop here was in Nelson where I met my friend Lauren to travel with her for a fortnight. I am now in New Zealand!!!! After leaving Broome I spent 4 days in Melbourne. This time was mainly spent catching up with friends from when I worked here 4 years ago and going back and seeing places, seeing how much the city has changed.
