Lunar Boardwalk. Well,it was not really called lunar boardwalk it was just called the boardwalk! It has aquarium with a diner with fish tanks around it, and in the middle of it too. The central cylinder tank has a dinosaur called the alligator gar, and also a giant grouper. it has a reef where you can feed rays and it has a gift shop. I went on the beast speed boat ride, IT WAS WET! Once we were thoroughly drenched we returned to the boardwalk , and I did a great game of frog fishing, and I won a prize! The prize I chose was a blue and green lizard. Not a real lizard of course. I went on fun rides like the double decker carousel, rocking rocket, jungle bounce, mini Ferris wheel and steam train. We watched Gemma on the wooden roller coaster, and the the boardwalk around it shuddered like an earthquake! Decided to say "no thanks" to that one. It was hot... like the heat had just exploded out of the sun. Luckily we had some dippin dots ice cream to cool down... Actually we had ice cream twice while we were there. There is lots of cool,stuff to do In Kemah and in Houston but don't go there in a heatwave (that's what we did) because you might end up deep fried like the cheesecake they sell at the cafe... Daniel Today we went to the Kemah Boardwalk, where there was lots of things to do. I have to say it was hot all day. Different to Death Valley, this was the kind of heat that makes you feel dizzy and tired. First, we went to the stingray reef, where we fed stingrays. You had to hold the fish in between your 3rd and 4th fingers, at the very back so the stingray could go over your hand and grab the fish. After that we went on The Beast, which is like a speedboat ride, and you get wet, really really wet! That was super fun, and although we were soaked to the skin, we were still smiling. Following our disembarkation from the Beast, we decided to have a shot at some mini games. Dad and I played a game where you had to throw a dart at a balloon. I had two darts and popped two balloons, Dad had two darts and popped zero balloons. My prize was a blue dog which I called Kemah. Next, I went on a ride called the Iron Eagle, which is a zip line. It takes you up backwards from the bottom really fast, and then you come whizzing back down. It was awesome! Some of the other rides I went on included a spinning ride called Whirlpool, a mini Ferris wheel, a spinning ride called aviator which took you ridiculously high, and a topsy turvy ride called the rockin' rocket which spun you up and down as well as side to side, but I was disappointed to read that I couldn't take any weapons on that one (!). My final thrill was a wooden roller coaster called the Boardwalk bullet, which was LOUD and l o n g, I didn't enjoy it, but it was an experience. Before we left for the airport, we had a quick dip in the pool because we were expiring from the heat. When we left for the airport it was all go. At the airport we cleared customs, had a snack, and before we knew it we were on the plane back to NZ. Today was awesome, and I had a great time, but I am glad to be going home. Gemma
