Louise's Travels
Hey,
Is our last day in Chengdu before we leave on another overnight train to Kunming, further south. We went to see a panda reserve yesterday, they were so cute although smaller than I'd expected. The babies pandas are also red with long tails and look more like racoons. We spent about 2hours there taking loads of photos.
Walked round the city on Tuesday (it only takes about a day to see pretty much all the major sites) and sat in a real Teahouse drinking green tea along with all the old chinese people. We walked through a walkway in the park and literally every person turned to stare at us (and unsubtly take photos of us on their mobiles) We still haven't quite got used to all the staring. They also spit everywhere here which is really disgusting (including on the floors of restaurants and on the street as you walk along)
We have been shopping to the local supermarkets (in search of more muffin's B!) and couldn't find a single packet on the shelves that was actually in date, one had mould growing inside it. Will be glad to return to UK supermarkets!
We're hoping to get out of kunming and see Tiger Leaping Gorge so will keep you all posted as to how that goes.
Take care,
Louise x
