Walking boots, camera, water, food and off you go.....
Nothing like just going on your own; a little adventure for afew hours, i had no plans on tuesday morning, got the weather forcast out the paper blue sky'd day and rain coming in wednesday thursday. I wanted to go up the glen to the top of the hill and i was tolled it can take up to 4hours so today was the perfect day for me to go. Got my stuff together and off i went up the track, narrow zig zagging track to the top of the tree line. Very steep and thik vegetation, then to the bracken line, witch was rather over grown, pushed my way through to get to a great view. I wanted to go up the hill to the top viewing spot, no path after that so it was alot of fun trying to get through the long grases and hidden holes....not always the best place for a clumsy one like me. But i loved it got to the top had my lunch and sat enjoying the view of the large flood plain and hills, nothing like fresh air and our natural features just me up there no one else. :)!!
The way down was quite interesting, steep and rugged but good fun, getting down the worst part of the track to meet the river once again. Now that was a nice reward, a natural shower and bath....there was no need to think about it, socks and my boats of and a dip in the river!! By the time i walked back my clothes were drying off niclely.
Back at the house asked if i wanted to go to another beach for a swimm..., of to the beach again, some bigger waves to play in! Initiailly cold but much warmer than other places ive swam in...when i think back to loch eil jumping into the that sea loch at 6.30 am for three weeks...this is a little warmer!!
alot of funn!! Follwed by the routine after dinner walk to finish the day and to really make my legs feel worked.!
Today i could certainly feel the legs from yesterday. Had a relaxed morning watching the winter olimpics before heading to the tairei river for some jet ski-ing. I could get quite adicted to that, alot of fun, zooming along the river great to get another view from being on the river this time. Spent the afternoon on the water having a whiz round!
Went to the outrim glen after i dried of for another walk, more thick forest with a windey track, we walked until it was dark before finally getting back to the car to drive back to the house.
