Day 35

I've been back at work for 2 days, and it feels like I've never been away! A few interesting medical cases over the last couple of days; including a severe case of vertigo lasting for more than 4 hours and occuring every morning - worrying in a girl of 24. Urgent referral for MRI and ENT review but am hoping to see the results beofre I leave at the end of next week. Today I saw a baby with projectile vomiting and diarrhoea (luminous green!) which was a little concerning - and I'm off to visit him at 9 tonight to check he's not loosing too much weight!

Aside from work, it has suddenly hit me that in less than 2 weeks time I will be in Queensland on holiday - and I have made no plans! Lots of sneakly guide book reading and website searching to make the trip a success! I'm still undecided about how much travelling to do, and a lot of that is dependant on the floods over the northern part of the coast. At the moment it is impossible to travel by road, but there is a high probability everything will be open again by 2 weeks time.
