Day 17 -Back on the boat to make our way north to another island Nacula about 4 hours on a boat. Apparently it is more remote (scary), this time at least we won't be staying in an 80 bedroom dorm, we have our own little bure (hut). As we were rather unprepared with the sun cream, we all got ridiculously burnt on the boat!!! To a crisp! Nabua Lodge on Nacula is tiny, only about 15 people are staying there. Place is really tiny, the bar only serves 2 drinks; rum and Fiji beer. Really quant and basic but really nice and relaxing, especially the hammocks! Afternoon was exhausting and busy, spent half our time laying in hammocks and the other half in the sea, which was so warm it was like a bath! Not surprising that everyone here is on Fiji time (an hour late…about) I would be to if I could live like this! Dinner here is basically eating what is given to you, basic food but nice enough! After dinner we had a little initiation ceremony where we became part of the 'family' this included having to do a traditional Bula dance, another traditional dance and a conga! Felt like a weird mix of being at butlins just in a remote location! Stayed up pretty late getting to know everyone else on the island, everyone was so nice there met some really cool people. All really like it here!
