Day 16 - Fiji Time!! Arrived in Fiji at 6am, so tired, and had to sort out what we are doing! Found it really weird that there was such a lack of organization and transport. After sorting out what we were doing, had to hit the port to get the bout to out first island Beachcomber. Bit scared as we were pre-warned that there would be a complete lack of electricity on most islands and lack of amenities! Really funny experience, as we are clearly not prepared for Fiji, we figured there would at least be a shop to buy things like suncream and beach towels…big mistake! No shops at all! Bula, Its Fiji Time! Relaxing is the aim of the game! Think me and murds are a bit scared about the prospect of having no straightners for a week, afros all round! Island looks so nice, really remote, once we got there it only took us 15 mins to walk around the whole island! Apart from this didn't really do much, just settled in and had a nap, relaxing officially begun! Evening had our first insight to some of the traditions on Fiji, were introduced to some of the local dances and Fijian music. Had a bit of an early night, all to tired to really appreciate the 'party' island but are coming back later on in the week so hopefully will enjoy a bit more then! Didn't really get the good night sleep I needed as spotted some mice in the dorm, so spent the whole night watching mice run around us, very scary as I was on the bottom bunk!
