Day 4 - 11th Jan Went for a day of exploring in Hollywood. Took a walk from our hostel to get a bit of breakfast in an old American Diner and ended up walking for about 2 miles trying to follow the sign to Macy's. Saw our first glimpse of the Hollywood sign but it was way off in the distance! after our great experience on the bus to hollywood we still braved it again, you would think we would learn from experience. Again full of weirdo people, but i cant ditch Vicky and Daniela lol! Once we got into central Hollywood decided to get opur bearings and have a good look found by going on an open bus tour, turned out to be really worth while got to sit on a bus without weird people and see all of Hollywood, Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills. Hollywood is really one of those places which is hard to understand until you go there, it is full of people telling you they are the 'next big thing', people dressed up as famous people making there money from taking photos with people and dogs dressed as people! Really good sightseeing though, worth the visit even if it is a bit of a dive.

Evening we went down in the hostel for a bit of a social event, was ok met some cool people and ended up going to a club which was basically a shed! didnt really realise how mucgh our accents stood out until we went out that night, it was like we were famous or something, random americans kept asking if they could 'hang out' with us??
