Day 2 9th Jan

Began the day by doing a bit more exploring and this was much more due to the fact we were all starving then wanting to get to know the surroundings! After the much needed food, which was classic American portions, meaning that a severe amount of walking was needed over the rest of the day, we navigated the local bus system successfully and made our way to Santa Monica. Complete change from Venice Beach, was really clean and didnt have a hint of weirdos or as many homeless! Walked our way up and down the pier, stopping for some photo ops like outside Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant we strolled some of our meal off, and with slight encouragement even had a little ride on a Ferris wheel!

From the pier we walked our way up to the shopping district, some may say big mistake considering what the three of us are like, but we maintained are strength just browsing..until Abercrombie and Fitch! Oops! Although I would like to add in our defense that purchases were necessary seeing that the previous night we had all froze in the hostel room, making the purchase of joggers and comfy t-shirt necessary!

Headed back to the hostel to freshen up, then back into Santa Monica for the evening, we watched a film in a full on American cinema (P.S I Love You), and after a lush Italian dinner, headed to the classy establishment of s! Just as I imagined full of dodgy men, and even dodgier women! Nice tails though.
